Naslednje jutro smo počasi potovali proti severu. Po panoramski cesti smo mimo simpatičnih zaselkov in zanimivih čebeljih panjev potovali proti naslednji nočni lokaciji, kampu ob reki Crnojevića. A o sami reki Crnojevića, spektakularni pokrajini in kajakiranju po njej v naslednjem postu.

Lake Skadar, the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula, is a must see while you travel around Montenegro. The lake, divided between Albania and Montenegro, is truly spectacular and if you turn off the main roads, you can treat yourself with a true travel exploration. If its southern part reminded us more of a sea than a freshwater lake, its northern part is like a miniature Chinese karts area. 🙂 Almost 20 years ago we were wandering around the Chinese karst and we spent some time in famous Yangshou and when we saw these small hills of Skadar Lake, surrounded by greenery and water, it all reminded us of our Chinese trip. We spent a few days on Skadar Lake and we would have no problem exploring it for a week or more. The road that runs along the southern shore of the lake towards Albania is something special. The road winds on the slopes of mighty hills and offers fantastic views of the mighty Skadar Lake, its islets and small but very lively villages. On the south coast we traveled only to the small village of Murići, where the plan was also to sleep. But because we had to change our plans, we turned north and after a nice adventure with a local policeman, we slept in a small camp “Lad” near Virpazar. The next morning we traveled slowly to north. Along the panoramic road, past the nice villages, interesting beehives, we slowly traveled towards the next night location, a camp by the river Crnojević. But I will write more about the Crnojević river itself, the spectacular landscape and kayak trip in the next post.
