Pred dnevi smo preživeli super aktivne tri dni pri severnih sosedih avstrijcih. Avstrijska Koroška poleg dobre smučarije pozimi ponuja v poletnih mesecih tudi dobro alternativo morskemu turizmu.

A few days ago we spent a super active three days in Austria. In addition to good skiing in winter, Austrian Carinthia also offers a good alternative to sea tourism in the summer months. There are quite a few lakes with excellent water temperature. 🙂 This time we decided to explore the area between the lakes Weissensee and Millstätter See, and not to get bored, we took bikes, SUP and hiking shoes with us. 🙂 We discovered Lake Egelsee purely by chance and we really like such coincidences. The lake lies on a hill on the southern shore of Lake Millstätter. Despite visiting it late Saturday afternoon, when it was really crowded on the neighbouring lake, we were practically alone on Lake Egelsee. The lake as well as the surrounding area reminded us incredibly of the black lakes of southern Sweden that we visited almost 10 years ago. The terrain is swampy and overgrown with spruce trees, the water is warm but dark as in a horror movie. Lakes water is still supposed to be considered healing and soaking in it is supposed to be great for both body and soul. 🙂 The same is said for lake leeches, which were successfully used for medical purposes years ago. 😉
