Even though we were very active during this short holiday break, I will start year 2018 with a story about amazing adventure, that we did 17 years ago in dusty and very cold Egypt. We spent the Christmas Eve of year 2000 in Hurghada and we celebrated New Year’s Eve together with our friends at the McDonalds restaurant in the seaside town of Alexandria. 🙂 And the only thing that i rememeber from that evening was a young girl, who passed me our dinner and wished me happy year 2001. 🙂 But the real adventure started early in the morning of 1 of January 2001. First, a whole day trip by public bus to the oasis of Siwa, and then after couple of days hanging out in Siwa on unforgettable crossing of the western desert of Egypt – we got the best vehicle in the oasis – Ford jeep made in 1956 with over 900,000 kilometers. 🙂 The landscape on that trip was really unforgettable. White desert, black desert, rocks like some kind of desert mushrooms. And it’s a pity that those places are now off the limit – unless you have some special wishes to be photographed in those orange suits. 🙁
