Battambang, zaprašeno in vroče mesto na zahodu dežele, je bilo glede na prebrano v vodičih logična izbira za naslednji postanek po obisku Angkor Wata. In kljub neznosni vročini je bilo nekaj preživetih dni v njegovi okolici prav zabavno. Vožnja z verjetno najhitrejšim bambusovim vlakom na svetu, pa uživanje ob lokalnih specialitetah (pogumni si lahko privoščijo tudi podgane na žaru, ki naj bi bile odlične), sledenje milijonom netopirjem, ki dnevno zapustijo jamo nedaleč stran je bilo le nekaj stvari, s katerimi smo si zapolnili naše Kamboške dni. In po vsej vročini, ki smo jo imeli na koncu pa res že poln kufer, je bil odhod v obmorski Kempot res prava izbira.

Battambang, hot and dusty town in the west of the country, was a logical stop after visiting Angkor Wat. And despite the unbeliveable heat, we spent couple of really interesting days there. Driving with probably the fastest bamboo train in the world, enjoying local delicacies (if you are brave enough you can try grilled rats, according to some locals really amazing food), tracking millions of bats that leave the cave nearby everyday… But despite that, we were really happy to leave the town – it was just too hot for us. So, the seaside Kempot was the best solution for that. 🙂
