Sploh v nizki sezoni, ko smo imeli vse lokalce praktično le zase. 🙂 🙂

Bukhara, an important trading post on the ancient Silk Road, was our second destination on our Uzbekistan trip. From Samarkand (I wrote about it HERE), we traveled to Bukhara by Uzbek high-speed train Afrosiyob. For a temporary home in Bukhara we have chosen a really nice family hotel “Old Bukhara hotel”, that lies only 100 meters away from the mighty Kalyan minaret. It is located in practically the last remnant of the old town, where you can still enjoy looking at local life. And this accommodation was definitely the most beautiful on our trip. And not just because of the hotel itself – the owners are super friendly. Following the advice of the locals, we also found a local restaurant in Bukhara, which was definitely a highlight on our visit to Bukhara. The prices were great, the food was phenomenal. Bukhara is otherwise considered the cultural and religious capital of Uzbekistan. You can witness palaces, madrasas, mausoleums and minarets almost on every step and wandering around this ancient city is really great. Especially in the low season, when we had all the locals practically only for ourselfs. 🙂 🙂
