Obstaja ogromno najrazličnejših pohodnih poti v Sloveniji, a med najbolj raznolike, barvite in slikovite zagotovo spada Soška pot ob reki Soči. 😉

There are many different hiking trails in Slovenia, but one of the most diverse, colorful and picturesque is the Soča Trail along the Soča River. We were planning to hike it for months and couple of days ago we finally made it. The idea was – leave the car in Lepena, catch the bus at 7:45 in the morning (we checked the timetable the day before on the telephone information) in the direction of Vršič, drive to the source of the Soča River, walk to Zgornja Trenta, and then hike all the way to Lepena. But it got complicated already in the morning when there was no bus. After almost an hour of waiting, we called again the bus station and after checking we were informed that this time the bus driver started a bit earlier. 🙂 So we hitchhiked with our son for the first time and apparently we have to do it more often. 🙂 🙂 The Soča Trail itself has proven to be a true beauty. Simple, with fantastic views, but most of all very diverse. Walking along the Soča was, I confess, pure enjoyment. The whole trip was unforgettable despite the evening storm that caught us an hour before the car. It is suitable for practically everyone, including families with young children. We will definitely return there. 😉
